Pagodas near Dali, the tallest (70m) is the Qianxun Pagoda with 16 tiers erected in mid-9th Century A.D. and is flanked by two smaller pagodas 42m high. Behind the pagodas is the Chongsheng Temple which has recently been converted into a museum.
