Bolivian president Evo Morales arriving in the village of Cristal Mayu to open new schools. This is the heart of the Chapare area and is Morales' home base as well as the most controversial area for coca growing. Since Morales became president coca production in the area has soared and US backed anti-coca programs have been given little governmental support. On Morales' left is the Cuban ambassador to Bolivia, Rafael Dausa.
