Mawich Jacob just before being elected to the Nuer Youth Union in Juba, where he will represent local Nuer community. The election was held on the grounds of the Juba Grand Hotel, but participants rejected formal balloting in the hotel conference center and instead chose to vote traditionally: by lining up behind their candidate outside, and the candidate with the largest crowd winning.
