To support the huge influx of poor to the Maha Kumbh Mela, many Indian charities provided free food. The largest provider is the main kitchen of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) in Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela is supported by the Adani Foundation
They provide 80,000 - 100,000 free vegetarian meals daily and on peak days approx. 200,000 across five kitchens, and deliver them with their fleet of small trucks to distribution centers in the Kumbh Mela. This is one of five kitchens they have created for the festival.

Hindu pilgrims come to dip in the water at the confluence of the Ganga (Ganges) and Yamuna Rivers for the Maha Kumbh Mela. This Hindu festival to attract an estimated 400 million people over six weeks when Jupiter, sun and moon are aligned with particular constellations.
