The Sapi palm oil platation owned by Wilmar, which is said to be the largest palm oil and vegetable oil trader in the world. The Sapi plant was started in 1989 and has 6,000 hectares of land, which is 60% of the palm oil it processes here. Palm oil is a very productive crop, with 6 tons of oil per hectare (soy is only 1 ton per hectare).
