A mentally-challenged boy takes a drink of rainwater. This was the first day of rain here in over 18 months, and the trees had exhausted the fresh groundwater. The last rainy season had brought no water, and now it was raining in what is usually the dry period... which seems to coincide well with the scientific reports of a build-up of warm water in the Central Pacific that will make 1996 an “El Niño” disturbance in the global weather pattern.
