Fifty-year-old car tracks fork in different directions under a cloud shadow and across the subkha of the Uruq as Sarit. ARAMCO, the Arabian American Oil Company, did extensive exploration for oil here in the 1950s & 60s, leaving little more than car tracks and the occasional stump of a wellhead.
