One of the main pedestrian boulevards in the tent city on the east bank of the Ganga (Ganges) River, lined with large prayer halls using façades made of cloth covered bamboo. Hindu pilgrims come to dip in the water at the confluence of the Ganga (Ganges) and Yamuna Rivers for the Maha Kumbh Mela. This Hindu festival is expected to attract as many as 400 million people over six weeks when Jupiter, sun and moon are aligned with particular constellations.
