A helicopter leaves Mexican immigrants under arrest and in a cloud of dust after spotting them illegally crossing the US Border Patrol near Tucson, Arizona. US border surveillance has increased dramatically since Sept 11, 2001. One station in Douglas Arizona saw its patrol officer count go from 35 agents to 500 in four years. In spite of all the increased technology, they still get most of their apprehensions from basic tracking of footprints, which they call cutting for sign.
