Flowering pear trees and the oldest trout farm in Belgium still thrive in the village of ’s-Gravenvoeren (Fouron-Le-Comte in French) in the Flemish part of Belgium. Rural Belgium is slowly losing its population despite farm subsidies that help support small-scale agriculture.
