Cemetery near Catherine Ash Ring volcano about an hour drive south from Ahmed Ela, on the edge of a lava field that was partially buried in a massive and recent mud flow. Locals say that the cemetery is very ancient, but they don't know how old it is. The area is no longer used for burials. The cemetery appears to be pre-Islamic, as the graves have no apparent orientation, and Muslims are usually buried with heads pointing towards Mecca.
