Ruins of Lido Hotel on north end of the Dead Sea with panoramic mural from 1973 that was based on an old crusader's map without regard to geographic accuracy. In the background is an Israeli military patrol car moving along the edge of the Dead Sea. This hotel was abandoned many years after the area fell to Israeli forces during the six day war in 1967. The touristic developments on the West Bank have fallen into disuse/disrepair due to the political uncertainty of land use there.
