I spotted this isolated cluster of Dinka fishing camps from a helicopter in a remote part of the Sudd Swamp, which covers 20,000 square miles of Southern Sudan during the peak of the wet season. These temporary fishing camps are floating on matts of papyrus, and the families were opportunistically harvesting any protein they could find. There is virtually no enforcement of anti-poaching laws in Southern Sudan.
