Desert guide Khaled Derdera in a light-hearted moment plays with the discarded steering wheel of a truck left behind by an oil exploration crew in the sand sea of Murzuq, about 6 dunes in from NW edge of the sands. The dominant dune forms here are star dunes, which were bunched up into a matrix. The flat areas between dunes are composed of a pebbled sand surface, with a dominant wind coming from the North East.
