Views of La Paz valley with laundry out to dry in a backyard of Alto Munyapata, a poor section of La Paz that was built twenty years ago. There are water, electricity, and sewer services here, and a great view of downtown La Paz and glacier-capped Cerro Illimani (6,458m.) on the horizon. La Paz is the highest capitol in the world, with an airport located at the top of the valley at an elevation of 4,000 m. The slopes lining La Paz valley are predominantly occupied by poor indian families, with the wealthier white Bolivian homes being near downtown or the newer Zona Sur.
