Yard for sorting/grading coal from various mines before distributing it by truck. This sorting yard is about 2km long and located near the Tuoketuo power plant, which is said to be the biggest capacity coal-fired power plant (approx 1/3 of Beijing's power supply) in China. The road from the Tuoketuo to Hohhot can be seen in satellite imagery as a black smear, and active coal areas all appear to be surrounded by high wind fences to stop the coal dust from coating the countryside.
