A salmon processing plant for heading, gutting and filleting farmed Atlantic Salmon for chilled air freight to the U.S. and Brazilian markets. These salmon were raised in pens scattered throughout the fjords and islands of Southern Patagonia, near Puerto Chacabuco. The plant processes an average of 35,000 5kg salmon per day, which is about 10% of Chile’s farmed salmon production.
