Crossing Arabia's Empty Quarter
Women dress in traditional loose black clothes with straw hats to keep cool and covered while they tend crops in the Hadramaut valley. Tradition remains very strong here. Each village has its own distinctive style of straw hat, and women do not like having their pictures taken.
