C/P Alaska Ocean, the largest fishing/processing boat in the U.S. bringing in a 50-ton load of Pacific whiting some 30 miles off the coast of Oregon. Visible here is the receptacle tip of the 1,700 ft. long net, which is towed on the edge of the continental shelf. This is the first day of the season on a two-week fishing trip.
