Llamas out grazing on meadows naturally irrigated by spring water on edge of Salar de Uyuni near village of Coquesa. This area is along the edge of Volcan Tunupa where it meets the Salar de Uyuni. After the rainy season (January-March) the edge of the salar becomes flooded by springs and groundwater descending from Volcan Tunupa (el.5432) which juts out into the northern edge of the salar.
